As akin to my last post…I love free stuff. Whether it’s a free soda or a free vacation – I LOVE it!
On top of that, I love Facebook. I love Fan Pages, I love status updates and I love clicking “like it” whenever the mood strikes!
With those thoughts in mind, I believe that it makes perfect sense that I would love to win free stuff on Facebook. Here’a a recent example:
I won a free smoothie on the Tropical Smoothie Cafe fan page just for being the first to correctly guess the name of the Beach they posted. Yeah! I know it’s small, but those kinds of things really make my day, you know? :) That is just one of the contests they do…name that beach, name the smoothie (they list the ingredients) plus random trivia AND a haiku contest! And even better, whenever you win a smoothie, you’re automatically entered to a monthly drawing for a $50 Tropical Smoothie Cafe gift card!
But wait, there’s more you can win than just food and beverage…you can win fabulous things like photography sessions and prints! Can you believe it? Yes, it’s true – many photographers, hoping to increase their reach and fan base use Facebook to reach new clients and run certain promotions…and all you need to do is “Fan” them! I was referred by a friend to fan a photographer friend nearby her (Stancy Higley Photographie) to win a free photo session – which I gladly did fan, because I love to see different photographic styles, though I am not in TX, why not – it was free and took .08 milliseconds of my time!
And of course, there’s the lovely and talented photog that captured our wedding, Amanda! Whenever she reaches 100 more fans, she gives away a free 1-hr session and (2) 8×10′s! Really! All you have to do is fan, and if you’re in FL, you’re that much closer to a free session. And if you’re NOT in Florida, it gives someone an opportunity for a free session that may not have been able to have one, otherwise…and then keep finding more fans, and maybe by that time, you will be able to pop on down here and take advantage! =)
Moral of the story is…free stuff is awesome, especially when it’s so EASY! Maybe I should give away something on THIS blog?!
