Yesterday, Matthew and I were delighted to visit Menchies, one of our favorite fro-yo places, since it just opened a spot closer to where we live, at the Loop West! In the past, we drove all the way down to Dr. Phillips area, but it’s nice to have it much closer – now about half hour drive – and it’s conveniently in an area where I like to do some other shopping/window-shopping (kohls, Old Navy and Books-A-Million all share the area).
I poked around the internet and found a great description of the Menchies experience here, complete with photos, so if you have not yet had the experience, it’s a great way to make a ‘virtual visit,’ but beware, it may make you hungry!!
It seems frozen yogurt has seen a resurgence in popularity once again, with places popping up everywhere! Why, just one quick gander at the Orlando YELP! page, you can see a laundry list of new establishments, and even fan pages of “Froyolando.” Me, I am still a newbie on this new yum train, but I do hope to try a few other locales as the summer continues to scorch away. Of course, Matthew has informed me that his personal fave place, pinkberry, will be opening this summer and we’ll be among the first in line for that! =)
Are you a fro-yo fan? What are your fave places?

We have one called Orange Tree up here and its fantastic! Sometimes when they have the pineapple frozen yogurt it tastes like a dole whip to me!
hooray! that’s awesome that it tastes like dole whip =D adventureland memories!!
