December 4, 2012 was a magical day. Two days after the experience / let down of the Three Bridges Marathon, I was in need of a pick me up and it came in the form of two gorgeous teal-colored boxes from Harry and David.
These boxes arrived in two larger boxes, packed carefully with cold packs – cold air rushed out right as I unwrapped the package! Pretty neat! Immediately, I was greeted by the wonderful aroma of chocolate and strawberries – each box held a dozen – and each delightful morsel was held in place with a thick layer of foam!
I dug in right away – after all, how can you go wrong with those two wonderful things: strawberries and chocolate? And these chocolate-dipped strawberries were elevated to a whole new level: big, juicy berries covered with premium milk chocolate AND white chocolate, with chocolate drizzle! I downed two without abandon 😀
With a huge smile on my face, I then got out of my chair and proceeded to walk around the office and offer them to some of my colleagues – I had about four takers (it was later in the afternoon, or I bet more would have gone) but that meant that I would be able to share the rest of these gorgeous and yummy treats with my fellow teammates at the ‘graduation celebration party’ for the Track Club Marathon/Half Marathon Training Club.
At the party, I was definitely one of the most popular people, for amongst the plates of brownies, cookies and other sugary treats, the crisp box and tasty morsels attracted many a sweet-tooth runner!
By the end of the evening, I just had a few berries left, so hubby was able to partake in a few 😀
I was very impressed in the packaging, appearance and taste of the chocolate-dipped strawberries that I received and would recommend Harry and David to any friends or family looking to gift a premium taste experience!!
After that chocolate-y day, I didn’t think my week could get any better…but I was about to be proven wrong! Tune in for the next edition of my chocoholic series later this week…it’s a sweet post!
