Going to SF! Soooooon!

In three days, we’ll be hopping on a plane to SAN FRANCISCO! My first trip there, EVER (and surely, not my last).

I’ve got most of our plans figured out, but am still open to suggestions on how we will spend our time out there, so please let me know if you have any MUST SEES that I have to add to our itinerary:

Thursday: late PM flight from Charlottesville to San Francisco, layover in Charlotte, arrive in SFO late, check in to our hotel in Millbrae, CA.

Friday: Do some exploring on BART, light sightseeing (pier, seals, other randomness), expo volunteering, packet pickup, dinner with fellow ambassadors.

Saturday: Change over to Hyatt RegencyΒ (host hotel). Meetups, Ghiradelli, other touristy stuff? Early bedtime!

Sunday: RACE! Check out of hotel, Walt Disney Family Museum, head back to airport.

Until then…I’ll be hydrating and planning (oh, and working, doing schoolwork and other stuff, but that’s not as fun to talk about) πŸ˜‰

Have you ever been to SF?

    • Definitely on our list for next trip! No car this time since it’s such a short trip and parking was way too $$!

  1. San Francisco is so beautiful – have a great time! My one must-see? If you can, do a quick boat tour – it will take you past Alcatraz, right up to the Golden Gate and near the Bay Bridge…simply beautiful and gorgeous views of the city. And definitely take a cable car ride. OK I lied – I had two must-see things. Have fun πŸ™‚

    • Hahah, I don’t think it’s possible to just have one suggestion about this city…so much to see and do! ❀ Thanks, K!

  2. So excited for you! SF is awesome. Coit Tower is sweet – amazing, stunning views of the whole city and bay area. If you’re a Full House aficionado, you can also hit up the Full House houses (you can Google it, I forget what park it’s by). If you have a car, you can drive to the other side (north side) of the Golden Gate and get some awesome photos of you with the bridge and the full city in the background. πŸ™‚

    Alcatraz is awesome too!!

  3. As an SF native, you’ve got a good plan! When you visit the Walt Disney museum, be sure to leave time to walk around by the Presidio, particularly Crissy Field. Best weather in the city and you get a great view of the Golden Gate. Have fun!

  4. […] Therefore, according to my calculations, by the end of next month, I could be rocking my way to what can only be described as the ultimate DREAM JOB for this super stoked marathoner! And I thought my excitement level couldn’t get any higher… […]
