Rocking the PINK! (an Oiselle Giveaway to Benefit 26.2 with DONNA)

oiselle pinks

Training for a Winter Marathon in Florida is an interesting concept. Whereas much of the country sits under a cold, snowy vortex, the subtropical climate of the Southeastern United States changes on the daily – from 80 degrees with 80 percent humidity, to freeze warnings, drenching rain, and more. Sure, the challenges are outweighed by the trade-off of more outdoor runs (vs treacherous treadmill runs), but thankfully, I have Oiselle apparel to get me through, along with a steady supply of PINK threads to keep my heart and mind focused on DONNA training.

Wearing PINK, to me, is more than just wearing my favorite color – to me, it symbolizes optimism – bright, cheery, and of course, easy to spot when running outdoors! On top of that, it represents to me what I am running for – doing my part to help FINISH breast cancer, and reminding myself to always choose LOVE – it’s why I’m running, after all!

With that, I am incredibly excited to announce that Oiselle has graciously offered to help in my quest to reach my fundraising goal of $1,500 (and 50 state representation) with a special PINK giveaway! Whether you have donated already, or plan to, or are eager to spread the word with us, you can enter in the giveaway widget link to win a SPECIAL piece of Oiselle apparel, hand chosen by the ladies at Oiselle headquarters. This special opportunity is open for one week, and you can tweet everyday to increase your chances of winning. Winner will be notified via email on February 8th, and information will be sent directly to Oiselle,

Dudes? Yes, I know Oiselle is a women’s apparel brand, but hey, Valentine’s Day is JUST around the corner, so why not enter and win that special lady in your life a really neat and practical gift?

What is your favorite color to wear when you run/workout?

  1. I would just like everyone to know how AWESOME the Flyte apparel is. I have the long sleeve and had to buy it in another color, I loved it so much. Of course, I have it in pink and its beauutiful!

  2. I love this top! I have been wanting one forever. You are a rockstar for all you are doing to make a difference! Can’t wait to see how much you raise and how well you do at the race!

  3. Great cause – so awesome you’re doing this! My Mom is a breast cancer survivor! Thanks to advances in medicine more and more people will get to say that. I wish I could’ve donated more, but thanks for doing this for everyone out there who has had to or may someday have to face breast cancer!
