What’s Next?

This past weekend’s Chicago Marathon marked the first event in what I anticipate to be a pretty exciting Fall/Winter Racing Season. After this week’s rest (still sick, ughhhh), the schedule kicks into gear later this month, with the following:

  • October 25 – Boo Run – 5K – Lakewood Ranch, FL (graduation race for our No Boundaries program)
  • October 26 – Bill’s Beer Run – 5M – Casey Key, FL (graduation race for our No Boundaries program)
  • November 8 – Jingle Jungle 5K & Wine and Dine Half Marathon – Lake Buena Vista, FL
  • November 30 – Space Coast Marathon – 26.2 –  Cocoa, FL
  • December 14 – Best Damn Race – 13.1 – Cape Coral, FL

Moving into 2015…

  • January 10-11 – Goofy Challenge – 13.1 + 26.2 – Lake Buena Vista, FL
  • January (sometime) – Celebration Virtual Marathon – 26.2
  • January 18 – Clearwater Distance Classic – 50K – Clearwater, FL
  • February 15 – 26.2 with DONNA – ?? – Jacksonville, FL

Wait…what….what’s going on with DONNA? Well, the original plan was 110. Then, there were whispers of it going away…I had to think about what to do next…and so, I thought I’d do what I did this year – 5K on Saturday, and 26.2 on Sunday…but then, I see it is back, officially…but, I may or may not have another possible race going down the next weekend (more on that as soon as I have more concrete details) so at this point, I find myself laughing at the fact that I may be running “only” 29.3 miles…oh, life. 😉

So, as I attempt to expend energy in ways other than running the next few days, my mind is all mixed up with grand plans, ideas, costumes for Disney races, and some rough plans about training schedules and goals for the next few months. It’s a crazy feeling…and a privilege…to continue to do what I love, and share the experience with so many.

What’s next for you?

  1. That’s a nice busy schedule! It looks like I’ll be running six races with you within 9 weeks. Aren’t you also doing the virtual Celebration Marathon?

  2. Wonderful stuff to look forward to!! Always good to have stuff lined up after a big race like Chicago. On my “next” list is having a baby and then a 5K in March, and a half-marathon sometime later next year. Of course, that requires many little runs/victories in between, which I’m actually excited about.

  3. Good luck with your fall/winter racing!! You plan much better then I do! I just this week signed up for the Dash To The Finish 5K (saturday before the NYC Marathon). I have ideas about 2015, but nothing booked yet!

  4. That’s quite a packed schedule! It’s so great to have everything all lined up and laid out. Up next for me is the Evergreen Pumpkin Run 10 Miler, then the Space Coast Half, Divas 5K, WDW Marathon, ZOOMA 12K, the Wolfson Children’s Relay (5K per person) and the DONNA 5K. I have some other things in the works so I’m not sure if I will get to run the Gate this year, but we shall see.

  5. We have a lot of the same races coming up – yay! 🙂

I’m running the Wine & Dine half, Space Coast half, Divas half, Disney Marathon, ZOOMA (either the 12K or half), Wolfson’s Children’s Relay, the Donna half, and the Gate River Run (you should totally check that one out – it’s a blast!).

  7. I’ll see you at Wine & Dine, Space Coast Marathon, and the Goofy (doing Best Damn Race too, but in Orlando). Also got Miami Beach Halloween Half, Avengers Half, and the Publix A1A Marathon as well. I love running Disney, but after W&D, Goofy, and Avengers, I think I’ll more than a wee bit burned out. Also, I don’t have another kidney to sell for Disney race registrations. Wait how many kidneys do we have again? *counts fingers* Ahh I forget…
