Ahh, I got a little behind on updates…for one reason…THE SLEEPINESS IS BACK! So, here’s a late/early check-in post!
Yup, we have officially crossed the threshold into the third trimester, and the fatigue and nausea of the first trimester has returned. Gone are the “honeymoon” weeks of 14-26 – but I really cannot complain because it is just getting really “real” feeling – excitement and nervousness are taking over, which balances out everything else.
I am running about once a week now (3 to 4 miles) but keeping up with walks (~3 to 4 miles a day) and that’s been good!
Last week, I took the infamous Glucose Tolerance Test – and you know, I think I worked it up so much in my head about how terrible it’d be that it really was not that bad. Still, I was a little nervous about the results, since Diabetes does run in my family, but my fears were thwarted on Tuesday at my check-up appointment when the midwife let me know that everything was A-OK in my recent tests!
Speaking of check-ups, now that we’re officially in that last trimester, the number of appointments will be increasing. Until this point, it was 1x/month – now it’ll be about every other week.
So, until the next bumpdate…
How far along? 28W4D
Total weight gain/loss: 16 lbs
Maternity clothes? yes, or whatever stretchy things I have. I wore my DONNA tank last night at the fun run and let’s just say it was super snug. I did get a few whistles/car honks as I was running! LOL
Sleep: my BFF.
Best moment this week: Seeing two of my friends (Meghann and Laura) deliver healthy beautiful babies – definitely made me even more excited about meeting Baby M.
Movement: Pretty sure there’s a disco in there.
Food cravings: ORANGE JUICE! All of a sudden, I need it. With #allthepulp please.
Anything making you queasy or sick: Seeing ketchup.
Leakage: Nope.
Belly Button in or out? Still in.
Wedding rings on or off? Still on.
Happy or Moody most of the time: Extremes! Crying/laughing, or a combo.
Weekly Wisdom: Savor each of these moments!
Milestones: Reaching the third trimester is a big deal, right? 🙂
yay!!! she’s almost here!!!!
So excited ❤
Best of luck! Good that you passed your test (says someone who didn’t)!
The third tri was kind of dark for me, but I think it was due to the above part and me being really moody in general.
I can imagine! I was really nervous so I can imagine how that could put a damper on things.
xoxo, all the juice on the way!
You know it, J-money.
Congrats girl!! You are doing amazing!
Thanks, K ❤
third trimester is a big deal! I craved orange Gatorade – which I never drink otherwise, lol!
