Abby, at 3 Months.

Our little girl is THREE MONTHS OLD today!

3months2I know, I know..broken record, but wow, time really flies when you’re having fun. And sure, it’s not always fun and games – it’s hard work – but gosh, it’s the best kind of work.

Abby is growing so much – by our unscientific measuring, she’s upward of 11 and a half pounds now, and though I haven’t checked her length, she’s definitely bigger! As per the carseat instructions, I made the move to remove her infant insert today, and she looks a lot more comfortable riding now.

Despite her protests, Abby is really rocking tummy time lately, too. Yesterday, in the two seconds it took me to stand up to grab my phone from the changing table and turn around, I saw her lift her head all the way up and getting in position for a pre-crawl…what a big girl! Slow down, sweet baby!

Our days are also falling into more of a routine (I won’t say schedule – because, let’s face it, it’s Abby’s World!) and she sleeps about 11 hours a night (apx. 8 PM to 4 AM, then 4:30 to 7 AM). Abby loves her every-other-night bathtime (even having her hair washed!) and loves to “talk” and “sing” in response to the books I read her at bedtime.

As I shared last week, cloth diapering is still going strong, and as of last week, we’ve embarked upon another adventure, working on Elimination Communication. While this is brand new concept for us (I first learned about it from a former classmate, Rachel, back when I was pregnant), it’s been pretty eye-opening. We’re not intending to rush any processes, but since Abby and I spend so much time together, it seemed like a waste NOT to try it. And, much to my surprise, it’s already made an impact on our everyday routine over the past few days, as we’ve reduced our diaper usage by 1/3 since Abby has been consistently pottying on her little potty (both #1 and #2)!

Well, that’s about all to report now – I must admit, I am still failing at the whole, “sleep when the baby sleeps” thing – but at the least, I can take a deep breath and count my lucky stars. Each day really is better than the last! ❤

    • Thank you, Christine ❤ It's such an amazing time, it's hard to describe so I do my best to convey it, haha! 🙂 Hope you are doing well, miss you!!
